The United Artists Influence…
In 1919, a group of Hollywood veterans formed United Artists Corporation, (UA), to gain better control over their creative works and free themselves from an artistic career dependent on commercial studios. And a little over a century later, UAI Artists, LLC, (UAI), was formed to support writers and filmmakers doing that very same thing with the help of AI.

As someone who was once a “Reader” for production companies both on and off Hollywood studio lots, the founder of UAI – T.M. Caufield – knows how important it is for both writers and producers to protect themselves in the sharing of intellectual property, (IP). Hence, writers are encouraged to copyright their work before submitting. If official copyrighting poses a financial hardship, writers are encouraged to use the “poor man’s copyright” method by either mailing the material to oneself, (and leaving the envelope sealed upon receipt), thereby registering a date of personal possession with the postal service; OR using a notary public or other highly trusted source to establish possession of the IP before sending. (Note: The “poor man’s” method does not establish ownership of IP, just possession.)
If UAI is interested in producing your script, you will be contacted by either T.M. Caufield or another equally qualified filmmaker focused on narrative filmmaking to discuss how we can bring your story to pictorial life with the help of AI technology.
Since the goal of UAI is to help both the writer and filmmaker realize their cinematic ambitions, the filmmaking process will only commence if both parties share compatible creative visions for the project. With that said, the traditional format of leaving camera directions out of the script unless absolutely necessary is encouraged to attract the most creative directors.
Writers of accepted scripts will be notified in writing and asked to sign a script agreement confirming ownership of material, etc. And please note that this is not a script consultation service, so no script feedback will be offered if the script is not accepted.
All services performed are carried out for free.
